Foundation

(3 -5 yrs)

The British Foundation Stage Programme is taught and all children are encouraged to develop their skills at their own pace.

  • They are encouraged to express themselves through a variety of creative activities and intellectual exercises.
  • They begin to learn their sounds and letters.
  • As they progress through these years they learn to recognise numbers and are introduced to addition and subtraction.
  • They also experiment with shapes, weights and capacity. This is achieved with hands-on and practical materials.
  • Arts and crafts, Physical Education, music, drama and ICT are an essential part of the curriculum.
  • Social skills, self-esteem and independence are strongly nurtured, in a calm and friendly environment in which children from various nationalities can learn and play together.
