Australian Animals

Reception class read the story 'K is for Kissing a Cool Kangaroo' to kick start their Australian animals week. During creative time the children used cotton buds to create aboriginal style animal paintings and they enjoyed making and eating a traditional Australian party treat called fairy bread! The class also decorated boomerangs and made kicking kangaroos. In addition to all this, each child enjoyed reading words written in chalk and washing them off with rollers and telling the time to o'clock and half past. Reception class also have their very own gym in the classroom! The children are keeping fit by using the weights, the running machine and doing lots of different exercises and yoga too.
