Baelo Claudia

Key Stage 2 had a wonderful school trip exploring Baelo Claudia, an impressive Roman city built strategically across from the Strait of Gibraltar. We were able to get a true understanding of what Roman walled cities looked like: the forum, the temples, the basilica, the administrative buildings, the market, the theater, the baths, the industrial district, aqueducts, etc. We had fantastic weather and learned lots from our guide Isa, an archaeologist with lots of knowledge!
