Commotion in the Ocean

In Literacy Reception shared the fact book ’10 reasons to love a turtle’. They stuck pictures in the correct order to create a life cycle of a turtle and labelled the pictures. In Maths they used Numicon shapes and gems to work out which numbers were odd and which were even and fed them to Even Steven or Odd Todd. During their free play inside they threaded beads onto numbered shells and drew and labelled ocean creatures from the story ‘Commotion in the Ocean’. Outside they used fishing rods to find and read fish with simple words on, matched Numicon and gems to numbered shells and made paper turtles to decorate their classroom.
