Mad About Mini Beasts!

In Literacy Reception shared the story ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’. They re-told the story by drawing and labelling what he ate on each day and threaded food pictures onto string in the correct order too. In Maths they made coin caterpillars using 10p’s and 1p’s. They also made symmetrical butterflies using gems. During their free play they matched rhyming words on spiders and matched two butterfly halves to make them symmetrical. They also made the life cycle of a butterfly by sequencing the pictures correctly. Their favourite part of the week was their Mini beast hunt! They went for a walk to the wooded area at the end of the road and ticked off all the mini beasts that they saw on their check lists. What a busy week!!
