Magical Animals

This was probably Reception’s favourite week as the children LOVE unicorns, mermaids and dragons! In Literacy they wrote sentences about their favourite magical animal. In maths they made different shaped towers using only 5 blocks each time. During their free play we wrote our ‘tricky’ words on a word wall and used the numicon to make a castle and a dragon picture. They also made knight masks and rainbow pictures and enjoyed playing with the castle, nights and the dragons too! During creative time they also made unicorn faces, dragon heads and sparkly mermaid pictures. What a great end to their ‘Amazing Animals’ topic.
