Rumble In The Jungle

Reception’s next story in their topic was ‘Rumble in the Jungle’. In Literacy they also shared the story ‘The tiger who came to tea’ and wrote a list of all the food that he ate at the little girls house. In Maths they created addition number sentences using small jungle animals. During their free play they played a game adding sprinkles to doughnuts and making words with bottle tops. They also made a zoo with the jungle animals and completed a jungle animal hunt in the playground recording all the animals they found on a check list. In Creative time they painted a large tiger for display and copied the famous painting ‘Tiger in a Tropical Storm‘ by Henri Rousseau. They painted the jungle background first and then painted the tiger.
